Recap: The Mynabirds and Bad Bad Hats at Boot and Saddle
I’ll keep this short and sweet because quite frankly the videos will do a lot more justice than anything I’m going to say. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this show. I’d listened to The Mynabirds latest release but I didn’t know a whole lot about their live performances, instrumentation, etc… Luckily I was not disappointed. They played great, the band is excellent and Laura Burhenn is clearly a seasoned performer. They’re still on tour so if they’re coming to your town I’d suggest checking them out… but don’t take it from me watch the videos.
I was decently versed in The Mynabirds work. Bad Bad Hats, on the other hand, I knew nothing about. They’re from my home land of Minnesota and I ended up being really impressed by these guys. They’re a tight band and they rocked pretty god damn hard live. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any video of their set but checkout this performance from The Current.
