ZOTAC ZBOX 01520 packs powerful specs in orb shaped body

Over the years as computers have evolved, one of the main things that has changed the least has been the case. As long as computers have been around the case has traditionally been either a square or rectangular box that just sits on the floor. Recently things have been changing with the rise of all in one computers hitting the market where the entire computer is housed in the monitor. Others like Apple this year released the Mac Pro which takes on an all new shape, and now ZOTAC has rolled out the ZBOX 01520 (quite the name) pictured above. For those who may remember the short lived Nexus Q, it won’t take more than a passing glance to see a strong resemblance. However unlike the Q, the ZBOX is packed full of the same parts you will find in today’s traditional computers. Inside you will find 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 radios, as well as an Intel Core i3-4010U Haswell processor with Intel HD 4400 graphics. As you can see in the above picture on the rear of the device you will find an SD card reader, HDMI port, four USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and DisplayPort. Alongside those are your standard headphone and mic ports along with the power button. I am all about more desk space and lower power consumption, unfortunately there was no price or availability details announced with the device.
