I don’t really know how to categorize what John Kelsey does but I’ve been a fan since the first time I saw him play. He was wielding some sort of a homemade synth keytar, ripping an epic Talking Heads cover and I though fuck this guy knows how to party.
There’s a little bit of a lot of things in his music but at the core it’s all John Kelsey… and he’s all man. What I’m trying to say, before this gets too weird, is it’s good music and it’s original as fuck. He’s got all kinds of crazy synth shit going on mixed with catchy, slightly goofy lyrics. These songs will take you on a strange and mystical audio journey through unknown realms. They make me want to dance… and I am not a dancing man.
